Wolsey was established in 1755 and it is nearly 250 years old. It is one of the oldest companies in Europe that is still active in the textile industry. Wolsey’s history and tradition is unique. In 1897, the Wolsey trademark was one of the first trademarks registered in the UK. Golf originated in Scotland. Between 1885 and 1900, golf was getting popular. Wolsey started to enter sportswear business and has become a leading brand of golf wear. In 1935, Wolsey received a royal warrant stating it is appointed by George V as a textile supplier to the royal family. In 1959, another royal warrant was issued by Queen Elizabeth appointing Wolsey again. This royal warrant is issued to recognize the service provided to royalty and it symbolizes the best practice of combining business with industrial techniques. Since 1997, Cea Point Industrial Co., Ltd in Taiwan has been appointed franchise for 19 years.
